Saw this one on e-bay. Looks nice. But is it original and where was it used? Looks like its yellow with some green.

I've seen this one as well. I can't imagine the camo is period... I can't think of any theatre where this would provide camouflage... more likely would make the wearer an easy target!!!

It is a shame, it had such a nice looking interior...but sadly I've seen more expensive helmets than that ruined...

The same kind of stupid thing is done nowadays with WWII german helmets as it was made in the 70s - 80s with WWI Pickelhaube (turned from good enlisteds to fake officers or rare Länder)...

Yeah, it's just not helmets either but it's done alot amongst Civil War collectors/dealers..
I know of a dealer that broke apart a Confederate pistol and it's original holster to make more money,,,the two had been together since the Civil War...
