Waffen SS Wool Crusher

I’m not a hat guy but I came across this one at my favorite militaria source and was very impressed. It is a Waffen SS Wool Crusher with a wool cover visor. The size is 56 and the maker is Wilh Huber of Tuttlingen. The hat has no mothing and is in near perfect condition with the exception of the sweatband. I thought it was cool looking so I thought I would share it with you. Enjoy!

I'm not knowledable enough in this area to say for sure. But I would say if right color piped SS visors are rare. If not a regular SS visor wasn't rare enough...

Your cap is a fake! No other way to say it and it seems sharp but....

It didn't seem like you were asking for an opinion, so I didn't
offer one, but the cap is not original. The badges are terrible.
The swastika does not appear to be vertical. The interior has
definitely been artificially aged. It's a great looking cap and
makes a great display piece but it is just not old. As with Knights
Crosses, only about two out of every thousand SS crushers are real.

Everytime I see that particular sweat band, no matter how brutaly "aged", it makes me wanna puke. Sorry, the cap is a fake, not a good one either...
