I have never been, but for us I'm sure going would be quite an eye opening experience. I mean to be in such a peaceful large expanse of land. And to only imagine many years before it was such a horrific killing ground. To think what is burried under your feet and what went on in the place you stand.
I can't imagine how great that must be! I must visit!!!

I know you don't mean it the wrong way, but it's not "great". It's "somber", or "tragic", or "heart-wrenching", or "moving", many other descriptions fit. But to know that thousands of young men died in the fields before you, in the prime of their lives, is NOT "great".
