M 35 DD for opinion

Hello, I have a friend that has bought this helmet. I have received these photos and I have bad vibrations. What do you think?

Personally, I dont know diddley about decals, and those pictures are useless to make any kind of informed comment in any event.

I am really uncomfortable with the liner, the stitched join does not 'run out' along the tongue, how it most often ( but not always ) does.

It has not taken on a shape like a liner that has been worn.

Nothing definate, but the picture is not great. The most useful photographs for a liner like that would be of the felt sweat band on the inside, and internal liner band.

Yikes ! ....Mr P, your eyes are good ! I thought those decals were too bad to make any kind of judgement.

If we are making longshots then I would venture that the tri colour is bad, based on shape alone. The shield is too pointed at the bottom for my likeing.

P.G. is right, ......DD/M40 would be a rare beast, I am assumeing that Gepruft is correct in his decscription of this as an M35, the vents look like they could be either an M35 or an M40.

More pictures are needed.

Thanks to all, I have told to my friend that is a fake but he takes hold with nails and teeth to an opinion of a dealer who sent the photos. When somebody does not make his homework, we little can more do....
