Hi everyone........
would you be so kind to give me some opinions about.......
at first glance I was passing on it......(for istance the stitching thread of the soutache in black) but then making a closer inspection this cap let me in doubt

Can we see and inside view and one showing the markings? I am not an expert on Panzer caps, but did get burned on one years ago that looks extremely similiar in appearance, with the same features.

At first glance everything looks good to me. I've seen soutache attached in different ways etc so I'm not ruling that out as being period applied. I take it you've burn tested/blacklighted for synthetics and found none. Not a 100% method of determining authenticity, but it would quickily rule it out as repro. Jim

Everything looks fine from the pictures. All insignia, incl. the Soutache, seems to be factory applied. I would've prefered seeing cotton lining instead of the rayon one, but that's not a red flag per sè. In hand examination still is the key to determining if a piece of cloth is kosher.

Blacklighting black wool and dark rayon is absolutely no help. Panzer piping oftentimes is likely to glow orange; not too helpful on a soutache though. A negative burn test does not rule out anything. Period black wool (from old Feuerwehr jackets), period lining material (from beat up overcoats and tunics), and old thread are still available, unfortunately.

Again not being my area of expertise, but I sure do like the inside material and size stamping.
