I like it at the point I was recently very desperate to miss two of its twin brothers on two known dealer's lists...

I must admit, I'm not keen on the liner as it doesn't seem to follow other M35's that I've seen. If I saw it on ebay I would have thought the liner to be too late for that helmet or even post war. Then again, I've a lot to learn about helmets.

It's only the pic, Rich : the liner band is logically a reinforced alu one (even if a late zinc band wouldn't have been really wrong), the chinstap buckle is alu too, and the leather color is a bit mistreated by the average photo... All seems OK here. as far as I can see...

Er, no afterall : it's not the variation I prefer among the early "drooptail" eagles...

Yes, indeed Richard, I wondered that too...

Merdock, could you read the date on the linerband?

                      cheers

                              Shield,
The band is very tight against the shell and it is my beleif that it is the original band to the helmet it is dated 1938,but it is also my beleif thatr the leather is a replacment? as it has a too new appearence but if it has the leather ONLY was replaced the aluminium band has always been in place IMO.
                              All the best Merdock
