Opinions on an SS decal

Hi I wanted to get your thoughts on this decal. I bought it from someone I trust but wanted to check anyway. Also I just bought a m42 medic helmet from the same guy off ebay. It looks to have a decal on the left side, any ideas on finding out if there is a decal there without destroying it? I can see some silver there. Ill post a new thread when I get home.

Also pick up Bob Iqbals and Tom Kiblers books "Combat Helmets of the Third Reich"

Hi thanks for you all taking the time to reply. Ive never been overly keen on this one. I am selling off some of what I have and want to check some stuff out first, so I do not pass my mistakes on. Ive read Kelly Hicks and done all the usual but it can still be hard to tell especially with so many conflicting opinions on the helmets in Hicks books. Im posting a black transitional shortly maybe that will go down better! But maybe not......
