I wuold like to know your opinions about:
-the camo pattern (it comes from france, is it the Normandy camo?)

-is it a LW helmet, or a WH reissued? what's the shield trace in the left side?

Guts ; the rank here is "Oberwachtmeiser" if I don't make a mistake, which let me think this helmet may be a Polizei one...

In conclusion a very interesting helmet in my opinion ; a DD Polizei M.35 (if you agree with that, guys), which had his liner upgraded with a zinc one, and who received a nice Norma... er... well, sorry... I mean "armour" 3 tones camo paint.
And I also notice a brown chinstrap, which conforts my little personal theory about Polizei combat helmets...

                Nice find, Luca.

Definitely a nice helmet great camo that has been there.

Very interesting indeed. The interior of the shell looks like a early luft but the decals are clearly Heer or Polizei.
Maybe this was an early luft that was reissued (with new liner) to the Polizei with a double decals and then camo'ed.
                  Definitely a honest helmet.

Not too sure about that chinstrap though

You're right, Ty. I was too quick on my conclusions.
This helmet had a LW paint & decal (little parts of the LW swas are still visible), and then the 3 tones camo paint.
So, forget about my chinstrap theory... No doubt this one has a story !

                          I think I share...

...in the confusion over this helmet. I really like what I'm looking
at...I'm just not sure what I'm looking at!

Is it a pre-war slate-blue parade finish? The Normandy camo
looks good. Is it still flaking off? I can't figure out why I only see the outline of the decals. The paint shouldn't have lifted them off.

The chinstrap looks, oddly enough, like it belongs there! What
year is on the liner band?

This helmet is pretty cool - I'd like to hear other opinions.

                            other info

Hallo guys!!!!! Thanks for your opinions

The chinstrap is marked "VOEGELC" (I am not sure of the last letter) "KOLN" 1944".

The liner band is marked "B&C LITZMANNSTABT 1943"

The leather inside is marked "6-43" and other numbers

But if it's a LWwhy there is the shield on the left side?

In the individyual research forum I have started a thread about this ranks:they told me that it means Oberwachtmeister: it's a Oberfeldwebel in the artillerie, Cavallerie or Flak units......hope this cuold help....

                            Waiting for other opinions......

This is the Helmet of Oberwachtmeister Losemann.
On the markings maybe you misread something- could they be:
                              Voegele, Köln 1944
                              and
B&C, Litzmannstadt 1943 (Litzmannstadt was the German name for Lodz, in Poland).
                              - which would make them being from totally oppodite parts of Germany

As for the Rank itself and the guesses as a police helmet: Oberwachtmeister was also a Polizei Rank.

I think it was a more than once reissued and maybe repaired/upgraded helmet finally ending with a police unit in france.

                              Gruß,
                              KSM
