Liner shot. The chinstrap bail on the one side has corroded lose from the liner band and I stuck in back in place.

It's to late I already own it. It is a Q 64. I have owned this one for several years . On another forum I got a (It's possible its authentic) but theres always that question mark. Anyway fakers should be castrated with a butter knife.

              Hi History:

Well, I would be on the fence on this one... literally... From the photo it looks like you live in a nice peaceful area Anyway, the rune doesn't look to be a Q... thus not matching the maker of the helmet... but that doesn't matter... as this helmet could be a reissue. The decal looks like a CA Pocher and it seems to have some of the characteristics I generally look for, but due to the obvious condition it is very difficult. Does the condition of the helmet match the condition of the decal?... IMO I would lean to yes... thus, I would tip to saying that the helmet has a chance. What is the condition of the metalic surface of the rune? My experience is that most pics do not capture it's condition. Any comments there... some metallic brightness still there?

              Regards,

              Jim

Common european fake, I've been burnt by one of those ages ago, the "pocher" has very thin borders, we call it "austrian" fake over here.
