This is a very nice Bergmuetze, indeed.

What makes you think the insignia are resewn ? Did you do it yourself or is it the fact these are hand-applied, which is no problem at all. In fact, these were rarely maschine applied.

What color is the backing of the eagle ? Feldgrau or more gray-ish ?
Is it dated ?
Could you post some more pictures ?

hello mark that is one fine piece of headgear
very very nice just what bart say the most insigna,s
on bergmutzse,s are handapplied

i also have one with has a hand applied insigna on it that was original done

i know bart has severall
so he knows were he is talking about
