SS Helmet?...Comments Please

I just don't know about this. Only photo available at this time. Looks like some cleaning was done to the area around the emblem. I am always suspicious when the photos provided by a seller are out of focus and with too much flash. I have requested better photos.
Any dead givaway that this is bad?

I vote for better pictures also. If it is authentic, it's too bad someone couldn't refrain from rubbing around the decal area.

If the seller will not supply better fotos then steer clear!! The fotos he did supply pretty much damned a few things about the helm already. I feel that better fotos of the runic decal would deep six any possibility of the helm being an original SS in a NY minute!!

Yes, I agree that anytime a seller is not willing to provide better pictures (especially when current pictures are SO conveniently bad), that is enough of a reason to "Run away!" as they say in the classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail. This thing is like that bad little bunny rabbit that will surely come back to bite you where it hurts!

I dont even bother with Ebay for helmets anymore, from time to time there are some deals but I would rather just find one from a reputable source then rolling the dice with ebay. I have been burned to many times.

If you cant tell this is the lowest form of crap then you really need to buy LOTS of BOOKS and then more BOOKS then go to military fairs and pick up every German helmet including the fake ones .Then go back to the bookshop and ask for all the BOOKS they have on ww2 then rent every dvd with ww2 footage then look at the estand then buy some more BOOKS .Then take a course on" NOT BELEIVING WHAT PEOPLE TELL YOU " at the local college .Imo Rob
