Explain why larger sizes have more value on M 35's 40's and 42's, but when it comes to paratrooper helmets the smaller sizes are worth more? Bill

I find helmet size not an issue I like the really worn look to a piece, not a desk jockey helmet I.E. mint condition sat on a shelf or desk. Just my opinion

Smaller FJ helmets are less common.

          Cheers,

i make it a point to buy 68s. it's my head size. 60s are fine for display and are just as rare. i have an M18 ET60 and it looks like a toy and a rare M16 SH60, Seimens Und Halske. but i take pride in my 68s. i have a really rare 68... anyone heard of an M16 K&M68? K&M was the abbreviation for Körting Und Matthiessen, an ultra rare WWI helmet manufacturer. also have the smallest size FJ, an ET66. that's what i aim for, rare sizes and manufacturers. to each his own...

Some prefer screwing ladies, some prefer screwing men, some prefer screwing goats. It is just a matter of taste just like the size of a helmet

I wouldn't think that size should matter. But then again, everybody collects in their own way.

Buying a certain size just so you can fit it on your head doesn't sound right to me. These are historical items that should be taken care of.
It is the same with uniforms. None of the tunics I have is my size and I don't care. I have no interest in dressing up in the stuff I collect.
