gun show bargain

I collect mostly Luftwaffe stuff. I went to a gun show Sunday and I got this for 125 dollars.
It is an enlisted visor cap.

Hi Juan, it certainly was a bargain! A nice early original "Tellermutze" style cap. White waffenfarbe piped caps are getting harder to find, so I think you have done very well. Check if this cap once had the smaller style eagle, as the early issues had this. Have you checked behind the sweatband to see if there are any markings too? (But be carefull not to tear the leather if you do this)

To answer the two questions posted

1. There is no evidence of other holes in the area of the eagle, the only holes are where the prongs are attached to the present eagle within the cap.

2. Nothing is writen or stamped inside or outside the sweatband.
