Help with helmet

Any information appreciated whether it is real or not. Looks like a repaint. No decals. Only markings are on the liner with ink stamps. One stamp say SS Panzer DIV ????, Size 55, Red ink stamp with SS, Ink stamp with a design. The helmet is a ET62, Lot 4888. Thanks, Jason

Looks like an original WW2 M40 "beaded" civic helmet.....Generally used by the Luftschutz and Polizei.....More than likely "enhanced" by bogus stamps on the liner.....Bodes

first time I have seen SS markings in a liner ?
Doubtfull to me.

Repaint too I would guess, the beaded helmet was for luftschutz and local police, so they should be blue ?
