I found by chance this photo on the net. I'm very curious about these decals, which are unknown to me

I think it is a decal from the city of Danzig

Decal represents Danzig police, there should be a death's head decal on the right side,

For sure it is a Danzig (Gdansk) sign, used by "Ordnung Polizei".

you can find those symbols on M16 and M18 helmets. There were painted.

The unit "SS-Heimwehr Danzig" as well as the Danzig Landespolizei (which was really a paramilitary unit) used to wear this decal for a short time in 1939.
