From Paris to Saumur, it's 300 Km ; Saumur is in the "Val de Loire", middle west of France. Only 1h40 by train (TGV). Try this :

It's really worth going there. I didn't want to seem too chauvinist (if ever this word exists in english), but it's for sure one of the best museums in the world...
