There are several SS Helmet's currently listed on ebay with a buy it now. They are item's 270160538005, 270160538451, and 270160577577. Does anyone know this guy? Ive requested photos, and am waiting for more. Has anyone else requested photos? Any opinions? ... comments? recommendations? I've been collecting WWI USMC and WWI German steel combat helmets for close to 35 years. It's been 25 years since I've puchased a WWII German helmet, and do understand times have changed, ie. prices, fakes, etc. I'm a newbe to your forum, and am requesting your expertise in this area of collecting. from what i have learnt of this forum is that most if not all ebay ss is not what it seems unless you can have a hands on look or are happy within your self and like what you see
but if you like you buy if not then pass it on.................
as for the ones you mention he hasent sent me any phots either

What the hell is a matter with people today..
In my eyes anything over $500 should have enough info to please the buyer OR For a future Buyer Understand what i meen?..
But then again buyer beware and EBAY=Not Legit

He titles the helmets as "Special" , "Super Special", not SS. I received four photos of a M35 Double Decal with chicken wire. The photos are crappy and make it impossible to make a determination whether the decals are original. I've already been told that the shell and wire look good. If I can get better photos of the decals I will post. One of the others he has listed is a M42 with a "Freikorps Sauerland" decal.Comment

I'd just say to you guys considering purchasing helmets off ebay to do your research first and buy later. Other wise you will end up posting photos on here, asking for authentication opinions and most likely being ...... "displeased."Comment

not just on ebay carlosR, that goes for anyone you don't know or trust. That's why I come to this forum seeking advice/opinions, as well as a few other credible resourses, for information and reference on the Third Reich Helmet. There are a total of three collectors in this World that I would buy that original $1500.00+ painted steel helmet of the WWI Marine sight unseen. If I can get decent photos of the decals to post I will do so. Rest assured that I will not spend thousands of dollars just so I can post a bogus helmet.Comment
