Quist M40 snow camo

Gentlemen -

I just got in this nice late war Quist M40 that tells a cool tale! The paint is thick so I can't tell if there was ever a decal, but this helmet (Heer or WSS) was once a winter white wash! It looks like it had a factory paint job, then was white washed at some point, then field repainted feldgrau (thick, with a brush). It's a Q66 (DN506). There is an unfortunate spot at the back where something dripped onto the paint and melted it away, leaving some rust. Luckily it's at the back and does not detract! This will be on the e-stand at some point, so let's hear your thoughts!

A price? I think that $700 is fair market value for a unique helmet like this, taking into account the damaged paint area at the back. Thoughts?

I really like how the paint has both age-cracking and was applied so thick that it ran down the sides...just schlopped on, no nonsense helmet.
