WW1 helmet cover pics

Does anyone have a period photo of WW1 helmet covers in use, particularly the white winter camo style?

Please post if you have something.

Here's a picture I own showing a group of German soldiers wearing what look like either tan or field grey helmet covers. They all seem to be of the same cut with drawstrings and are without leather reinforcements around the vent lugs.

This close-up clearly shows that these covers have a drawstring attachment.

The winter white versions were, from what I've read, the only ones officially accepted by the high command, and were therefore maufactured in large numbers. These winter camo covers had leather reinforcement tabs around the lugs, and were attached with 8 hooks.

I thought that the Austrian covers were the ones with the drawstring, but I also thought they had a leather reinforcement around the vent lug hole.

Perhaps the covers in the picture were made at the local level.

I agree that these helmet covers were most likely made locally, probably at the company or platoon level. Unfortunately, the picture has no information on the reverse as to which unit these soldiers belonged to or where the picture was taken.

Austrian covers had the leather reinforcement and drawstring fasteners during the war, and are similar to the covers they later issued in the 20s. I've seen few pictures of WW1 German covers with leather reinforced vent lug holes, and they all seem to show the winter cover with hook fasteners.
