M 40 Helmet

I got this helmet. Its without decal, its a ET 66 Thale helmet with schuberth liner.
The chinstrap is ripped of only one part is there. what about the green paint? I tried with Aceton but it will stand.

hello just a few quick points, the paint looks glossy and modern, also there seems to be a white primer under coat under the paint which would be a sign of modern work, also the liner looks like it is a modern liner stained to look older thanit is, even the chinstrap looks wrong, but i know the experts can shine better light on this than me. Ian

Yes its very glossy thats true and surly you can get coulur today wich has no problems with aceton. Helmet shell is 100% original there is no doubt for me. The Question ist the liner.
