SS helmet again...

I have seen this SS 35/40 helmet on a dealer's website, what do you think about it?

Is this a Quist made helm? From the fotos I'm trying to tell if the runes extend beyond the break or not. From the foto, the seem to even though the left side of the border is gone. With a straight edge held across the bottom of the runes, they seem to extend below the break on the right side even though this could be an optical illusion due to a curved object being shown on a flat computer screen.

I'm going to offer my opinion, please take it with a grain of salt because I am still learning. I don't like it and I'll tell you why. Too many "important" reference areas have been scraped off on the runes decal. The bottom border on the right side is mostly intact and by its angle it seems like this one is the rounded bottom fakes. I highly doubt the nice taper and point found on real Q & Pocher shield decals was ever a detail on this decal.

I am still very very clueless on the partei decals so I won't even offer an opinion on that.

well they do appear rather scratched ,almost overly so, but i like the ss decal, not over keen on the party one

I belive it is so ovies, that it is a fake, yust compere the state of helmet that is near perfect with the state of bouth decals that are bouth ruined intentional to hide bad points and apear real !!!

To me that is nice original helmet that was ruined by bad decals !

And the price is for sure sky high !!!

I believe both decals are real and made by CA Pocher.

I would pass.

Only my opinion so take it for what it's worth. Q or Pocher it makes no difference. The paint, rust/decal relationships, or the chips to the decal are enough.

On any of the above, I'd pass.

Been wrong before, will be wrong again.
