Personally, I TOTALLY dislike the GI art helmet, sorry!In any case I think that the market value is not so far from the common values of a german helmet...

As someone (Robb?) said ealier, if you have 1000 helmets, maybe you would be looking for something interesting and new. They appeal to me...value?

That is an interesting helmet, with an interesting question attached.
No dilema though.......as is so often the case, it is down to personal
taste and preference. ........... I love it !
The writeing is period, and is as much a part of the 'original history'
as the rest.
The fact that the G.I. signwriteing is in a similar colour to the
german name & rank on the inner skirt proves nothing except that
white paint of a similar (period) chemical make up,
ages and discolours the same, over an almost identical period of time.
An interesting letter type that the GI chose,
Gothic lettering was very popular at the time, but avoided by this artist.
Perhaps he wanted no convey that the lettering was not German,
but American !.........
