only the helmet were in this hole, strange but truth

history of this place tells that by fast retreating from hungary some ss men were in this wood ... seems they had surrended there

Though if it wouldnt be too much fuzz, Rove, Id really appreciate it if you could upload the pictures again twice the size.. cause they are so smal and they just dont do the find nor the story just!

As well, if you have pictures of the helmets after cleaning off some of the dirt (no im not talking about polishing the helmets ) Id love to see that as well!

If only they could talk. That experience is so neat. I had a couple of battle fields of the US civil War that I was allowed to detect. When you find an area like that, where the soldiers were and something happened on that spot. You sit down and imagine what went on on that spot. Did they ditch them and blended with civilian life? Were they captured and the helmets were buried there? Are there any graves near by? The adrenaline starts pumping. Good find fellas. bill

there were 26 helmet in one hole. but there were another contact with 4 helmets and 5 more seen it without digging them out. i think there are 20 more

til now no decals

but a reason is we dont cleaned them - its to much work

we found another hole half a meter nearby and ... 4 helmets and about 5 seen already - i think there are about 20 more
