Heer Quiest with shell damage

I’ve had this helmet for a while now and it is a lovely example of an Heer Helmet with an excellent decal where the gold appearance come from the lacquer applied. However as you can see the owner was seriously injured or even killed making this helmet more sinister and even morbid.

However with respect to the owner I am showing it in the forum as it holds an unlimited amount of history not just to a nice helmet but what happens to a helmet when hit from shrapnel or a large calibre round. (I guess from the inside)
