Well!!!! What to say??? I`ve been collecting German militaria for quite some time now, and specialised in Luft and Army headgear! Most of the headgear came from local sources here in South Africa, but as the years have passed on, these items have been more difficult to obtain locally.
So, I`ve been forced to purchase overseas, and I must admit guys,
I`m the type that relied upon the sellers, i.e, dealers, to sell honest pieces!?? I`d purchase a helmet, look at it, admire it, and place it into my display cabinet, without ever pulling it out again.
This has certainly taught me a major lesson for future references!
I think this will be the very last purchase of camo helmets I ever make! At least from certain European dealers.
BTW, this helmet came via a local dealer from the UK! I have another camo helmet, that I`m actually way to scared to place on this forum, for fear that its also gonna be plucked to pieces!! I never in my life would`ve guessed that these helmets are as faked as they are? I really thought I knew a little about helmets, but I`ve just been shown, that I actually know nothing ! Thats what happens when one diversifies way too much!
Anyway Gentlemen, I really appreciate the opinions, and certainly take them to heart, and I think for future references, I will post a helmet up for discussion, BEFORE, offering it up for sale. As someone already mentioned,
This is the second camo helmet in my collection, that I thought was original!!! Big surprise Hopefully, I can get my money back?

          Cheers,
          Dion

              Hey Rob,

Thanks man! I appreciate the words. I`m not sure if its gonna be successful, cause like I mentioned, I`ve had it in my collection for 3 yrs now
Anyway, I`ll be posting the pics of my Normandy camo helmet soon, and HOPEFULLY, that one will at least turn out original!!!?
That one came from a dealer in Germany, and if it does turn out duff, then I believe I`ll have recourse there? (Hopefully)?

              Cheers,
              Dion

                Dion ,

I'm sorry for your bad luck. This hobby is quite a dangerous one if you don't work on it daily.

I hope it eventually works out. Better buy from collectors via a forum instead of dealers.
