yeah it's a deepeeka (sp?) repro that sells for about $120 on their website. there are also plenty of deepeeka variations of M18 cutout that people fall for as originals and pay i've seen up to $400!!!

I don't know if it is a Deepeeka, but it sure looks like a repo to me. The "bill" or visor of the helmet looks way to long for an original.Comment

Ya the visor was my main tip off. I am getting pretty good if I can spot a repo at a glance. I told the seller his helmet was bad but he probably knows that.
The worst mistake I ever made my freshmen year old collecting was this helmet below. There was always something funny about it. Aside the obvius re paint and me paying a bit too much for it the steel did not have the same ring as my other helmets.
Sold at a loss never knowing for sure, just knew the thing gave me the creeps.

I think that we all have something like that that we regret buying, whether it was out of inexperience or out of anxiousness. Mine was a American M1 lid that I discovered had the liner glued in at one point.
