M16 Helmet with Heer Decal!!!!

Hi. i bought this a few weeks ago for 72 euros on a similar place to ebay. i thought it was such a bargain that i started to wonder if the decal might be fake...? i hope you can give me your opinions about this helmet and especially the decal

The decal:

The front which i believe to be old winter camo. to me it appears to have a brown base of paint, white old camo on top of that and at last some olive green paint on top:

The inside, the paint looks new on the photo but when looking at the inside it seems original:

Its stamped W66 on the inside:

I think this is for the chin strap, but i have no idea of what it could be used for, anyone know??

Hello Tom-Nor compare a good and a bad BF . There are some details that will tell you ( in one foot and some feathers for exemple)

i have compared it to real decals i have found posted on this forum, and after matching all the datails, i still cant figure out why this decal i fake

i would really appreciate it if someone would have a quick look at it for me.
PS: just about some comments/private messages about this helmet; i will not sell this one

hi Tom. i have looked at the decal, and just like you i cant see the difference. ok, i must admit im not an expert, but still, i can compare to decals... i like the helmet by the way, makes me wonder where it might have been since its got both the green wehrmacht colour and some snow camo which seems all original.
could anyone help me out with the decal as well?
