    M42 Nd

    Hello,
I fell in love with this M42 ND, and i would like your opinion, being helmets not my main field. I had a similar one until 15 years and i had to part from it and i am still feeling the vacuum in my heart
for this helmet I've been asked € 350, and it's complete and in good conditions.
    Your help is really appreciated

Hi North Ender, I'm finalizing the deal . It will be in my home soon

In your opinion anyway, what does it mean that difference of paint colour that is visibile in the close-up pics of the rivets?

        Hello
The difference in color is not unusual at all , there is actually quite a good numbers of helmet showing that feature.
The response is simple , sub-contractor ! the rivet were produced by someone else and don't always match the rest of the helmet color.
Remember that helmets were painted first and the liner assembled last ( well the decal was last actually).
The color is not the " tell the tale " if the rivets are original or not to this helmet.
        Best Regards

            Hello
            OK ,I see now.
Well ,it looks like someone cleaned that area with some oil , as the dirt accumulation is still well visible.
            Best Regards

yeah it's ok in my eyes..the rivets look a bit loose but thats very common..perhaps the old owner tried to look at the liner band mark and rubbed the liner band with a wet rag ..you'll find most collectors go for the decaled helmets thats why you've not had any posts ...when it arrives take some outdoor shot's of this helmet..
