Need Opions: SS DD

I just recieved this helmet and looking to the experts for opions. Please be gentle with me as I am a newbie to WW2 brain buckets.

Is it me or do the runes look like they are at an angle within the shield? It appears the left rune is slightly higher than the right and it appears they slant down slightly toward the right.

Sepp,

They don't appear to be slanted when you look at the helmet in person. I was trying to get a close up without a macro lens and no tripod so I think my craptastic photo abilities are to blame for the odd angle. Any other feelings? The white color of the decals has a champagne type of hue if that helps.

looks like the classic Italian fake to me.

The base of the left rune seems to start well above the break and the base of the right seems to be at the break or slightly below. It's definetly not a copy of an NS or ET decal but seems to be more an attempt of a Pocher that missed, badly.
