Please help ID Helmet

Hello to all,

I recently saw a helmet at an antique store while travelling. I didn't recognize it and had no camera. It was all steel and had a three-pad liner almost identical to a German WWI helmet. The rim was raised in the front, similar to the german design but not quite the same. There was a vent hole on each side, rear of center, and grommeted like you see on an M35.

I'd give anything to have a photo but I don't. If this description makes sense to any of you maybe you could post a photo of what it might be; I'm sure I'd recognize it.

It sounds like you're describing a Swiss helmet. I cannot post images to confirm but if you do a quick search on ebay for Swiss helmets you should be able to see one and either confirm or rule out whether that is what you saw.

You were right, it was a Swiss Helmet. I'm really glad I didn't buy the thing, seeing how little they bring on eBay.
