Folks, I got this in the mail today.....I spotted this one on Ebay last week, really bad pictures and advertised in the wrong section (US helmets). I emailed the guy but he did not know anything about helmets (he thought it was U.S.) and he would not say much in his emails. I watched it and took a chance at the last second and sniped it. Got it for a little over $700 which I think is not bad now a days for the real deal. She's an SE 66, lot 4697, with a 58 liner and 58 liner band. Liner band is a double reinforced aluminum dated 1939. Chinstrap is there but cut in the middle (....a cut off helmet?). One rivet is a little loose. The "smell" is the smell you want to smell. The decal is there where is should be but totally buried under paint on the Army side. No evidence of a decal on the tri color side. The paint is the nice brown color you see on some camo's. There appears to be a layer of tan all the way under the brown. The paint also has fingerprints in it. The colors are dead on for the expected RAL's. Hope you like it...! She's a keeper....! Regards, Chris

Hey 3cavman, he did not state what size, that there was a decal "shadow", etc..... The guy did not know.....the best kind of person to buy off of in my opinion on Ebay if you don't mind rolling the dice.....! I've been looking for a size 66 camo for awhile as I have a 62 and several 64's. This was just icing on the cake to get a 66, and an M35 to boot as all my camo's are M40's.
