M35 sd comments please

Hello Guys.
I have this single decal army/navy helmet.
When I received it is was clearcoated, but I managed to get the clearcoating off without damaging the original paint.
It has the initials of owner in the inside.
Some moron has scratched abit on the right side to look for national decal though.
Helmets is not my area at all, so I need you guys to give me some comments if you want to.
I am thinking of selling/trading it to get more medals.
So I thought i should have everything on the clear first.

Hi there - I'm curious - how did you remove that clearcoat layer?
Not sure why people put that junk on.

I used something called "white spirit" here in norway.
Don`t know what it is called other places.
And just rubbed with a piece of cloth, it came off quite easily actually.
Don`t know why people do it either, maybe they think they are preserving the helmet.

Well, if the decal had this look before, I'd say that the job was not badly made... Nevertheless, an interesting examplary of M.35 reissue.

The decal looked a bit more complete, but not much.
I had a choice, either leave it like it was, shiny and terrible.
Or risk the decal and get the natural colour back.
