Luftwaffe DD helmet Opinions?

Thanks for your opinions. Not being a helmet collector I just want to make sure I understand what your saying:

The helmet and decals are orginal, but they were painted over at some point and someone rubbed the painted off to bring them "back to life" post WWII. So other than that, which I'm sure hurts value, is everything original?

Yes decals are original, the helmet received a early war over-paint covering both decals and someone at sometime post-war uncovered the decals.

You can see the over paint still on parts of the helmet and right wing tip of the eagle (as viewed).
