That looks like a Heer decal to me, but it may still be the pics. Nice untouched helmet though

Thanks Andy, much appreciated! It is harder to tell a KM from a Heer decal then I thought, I agree that it hasn't that deep gold tone and the bad quality of the pictures don't make it easier to give an opinion.

Somebody on the forum said, that if there is any doubt, then it probably isn't a KM but a toned Heer. In general, I think that is true. Here is a pic of a KM helmet next to a Heer. Both are later war helmets, so the KM is actually a bit less intense than some of the earlier decals.

Obvious that is,Andy, some Heer decals are more toned then others, but the difference between a toned Heer decal ( how toned it even is) and a KM decal are clear enough...



In the meantime I also checked out other threads and indeed this will be a toned Heer decal for sure.

If you say it has not got the solid gold colour and you have it in your hands, it most definitely then is a Heer, nice one at that.
