OPINION wanted about a M35 camo-helmet

Hi ,

I need your advice / opinion. A collector in germany offered me a helmet ,model 1935.
This one should have 2 decals but it is hard to see because it has a kind of cement comouflage. It looks very odd to me.
Also the liner looks strange. The liner has 9 leather flaps instead of 8.
Is this still possible ?? According to the seller 200.00 helmet with these liners has been issued.
I would appreciate some opinion.

need picture of liner........9 fingers are quite common on sz 68 leather, not all ! some still have eight.

9 fingers are very common on post war liners, but normally have extra tiny vents near forehead area, and not sewn in one size but adjustable with an overlap at the back.

'cement' type finish could be 'zimmerite', like a thick paste.

the national shield decal definitely looks dug out. Concerning the liner I can say that i have no problem with the 9 fingers but rather with the missing holes in the fingers. It's certainly not a standard issue German liner. To be honest, I wouldnt want that helmet, but thats your thing. Just my opinion. Let's wait for others.

...I just noticed the Liner has even 10 fingers. Ive never seen that before but that doesnt mean it didnt happen. everything is possible

Hey ! just got pictures !

That liner is not right at all, the 'bales'; for the chinstrap are mounted on the adjustable band, I can see the little holes, it is not good at all !

The decals look good , but 'dug out'

Personally, I would not give a beggers fart for that lid !

If you look good it has indeed 10 flaps and not 9 and on top of this the missing holes.
So with other words I am not gonna buy it.
