Luca, regarding the decal, I just think that it is very odd that the decal would crack like that. It shows that the decal was applied over the camo paint (which itself is cracking). If anything, the decal should have been covered over by the camo paint. Just my 2 cents.

Hi All, with regards to the liner, is it the colour that sends off warning bells or is there something else? Did the Norwegians just dye original German liners?

It's my understanding that the Norwegians used German designs. Having seen many of these the Norwegian liners the leather is different than the german leather and they typically used brass studs verse alinimum. The leather is darker more red in my opinion. - ty

The color of the liner is that of Norweigan stained leather but the dead ringer that it's Norweigan is the huge size stamp..
Chinstrap is a older repo and not hard to detect as well..
Notice the construction of the decal and the way it has cracked and allmost broken off in separate segments, this shouldn't be. The paint's not cracked like this, it's the multi-layered paint that makes it look like that. And notice how the decal is on top of all of this?

I'd like to get a even closer photo of the decal as it looks as if some effort was made to repair some of the cracking, but that I'm not certain as of yet...

                        ...just a small quick question...

I agree that liner and chinstrap are bogus, but what about that shell? It looks like they put a funny looking eagle on it, which was appearently covered by the paint, looks like an OT (Organisation Todt) eagle, no?

                        someone?

If possible, I would also like to see a nice close-up of the runes decal.

I really wonder if anyone could replie to my demand concerning the eagle-decal in the third picture...Luca, could you post a close-up of it?

                              thanks in advance
