Bullion COckade on an EM/NCO Visor

    Hello, Gentlemen -

Is there any photographic evidence, or does anyone know of, an EM/NCO visor cap with bullion insignia, specifically a wreath? I realize that this was proscribed by regulations, but I wonder if some salty old Spiess ever said "to Hell with it, I deserve one." The reason I ask is there is a nice private purchase for sale with Bullion wreath and what looks to be an originally installed EM/NCO chinstrap. I have seen enough other contravened regulations to wonder. Any help is appreciated!

      Hello, Don

I PM'd you, but I'm not sure if you got it.

I can't recall having seen one, either, but check out
page 22 of 'Headgear of Hitler's Germany', Vol 1, by
Halcomb and Saris. There's a nice shot of one in there.
      Definitely not 'Der Spiess', though!

I had one, it was a crusher style with bullion wreath and metal cokade for an Infantry NCO, private purchase and not stamped by the unit (or maybe worn off as it was in excellent condition, but show several use) Unafortunately no longer in my collection, I try to look if I still have a photo. For what I remember it begins as a total metal insignia, but the wreath was changed and you can see the stiching holes trought the lining.

Looking for DKiG Heer winner Soldbuch who also won the TDB and/or CCC, specially in Silver.

            Hello Don,
I have a copied picture of an NCO with just such a visor cap with bullion wreath at work. I will try to get a copy to you next week.
            Best regards,
            Curtiss
