I've never seen this decal. The looped lines in the fletching is a trait found on nothing I have or in any of my saved pics or in my reference works...I've never seen it...

That varys by maker on how sharp of a point these come to but I've not seen any this rounded.
I've seen variarations in the beak and talons like the one pictured....
This is a new one for me...

I heard of some very high quality fakes coming out of Europe this year, you think this could be one of them? This decal seems a little flat to me too. Could be just the picture though.

Hm I don't think that I would go for this one. It just doesn't look right to me.
I find it suspicious that there are rust spots underneath the eagle (on the left side)

This decal is, what I thought, a well known fake. It's been around for at least two to three years.

The beak was always the easiest give away to me.

There are originals with a beak like that, although a seldom encountered variration. The loopy lines I pointed out and eye stand out though and I've never seen this on originals..

Rust under decal

Hello, ? about rust under decal.

Is rust under a decal a red flag for a post war add. I have a dd m-35 combat police beaded painted luftshutz helmet, it has some rust thru the decals.

I think it depends. Have any pictures ? Fresh "red" rust is never really a good sign.

I am working on getting pics. this might take a little while I am new at this. The rust looks very old dark in color. There is a lot of very, very small spots on helmet , almost looks like helmet was kinda moist or it was humid when re-painted? I will work on getting pics.
