SD Heer Helm

Hi All

Not into helmets whatsoever and never find them. I just got an E mail from an old bandmate in the States. We used to get along quite well due to that we were both WW2 crazy and we liked avalon hill games. He used to wear this helm while playing squad leader Well I never really checked it out and the last time I see4n it was 15 years ago, from what I remember i Liked it. He wants to sell it to me but I know nothing of these. I just got pics and for real the guy is stuck in the 80s and has a horrible cAM, hes not trying to rip me off with blurry pics, I know these are horrible but can anyone take a guess if it is good, It is stamped inside ckl64 and underneath 2623

Thanks Glen, Iam trying to get him to make better photos, but we are speaking about someone whom still wears tube socks and plays Atari,,no joke. Iam probably just going to have him pack it up and ship it to me, From the dotty memories of it, it was good. I bet he will sell it to me for 100 bucks.

Is this an M40 ? I really run into no helms here, they are pretty much non existent. I think they all ended up in the USA. Jeez Ive been in this to long, Iam just going to buy it, he was my best friend for 15 years, Iam sure hes not out to rip me off on a Heer helm lol. He just5 knows I deal in militaria and if its bad he would just send my money back. Iam so paranoid these days!

Correct, what I meant by late was a later produced shell when ET changed to ckl.

Some good news and bad news. Good things are my friend was a really weird funny guy. He worked on his cousins farm in Jersey in the 70s and was paid for a summers work with this helm. He got it from an antik expo in Jersey for,,,25 dollars

Also my friend is very quirky and weird about things. The seller back then told him to make sure to care for it. My buddy kept it climate controlled for decades in Florida. He would only take it out to play squad leader the boardgame. He was so strange he would draw villages on the map of the game where the makers forgot to put them

The bad news is he has no idea of mlitaria and used some high priced dealers site to price it Eg Fire Police Aluminum Helms 500 dollars

I explained to him on the phone that these were Disneyworld prices and to forget it. He seemed to understand.

Now the real crap news, He looks like he will let it go to me, but I cant get it sent to Germany due to all the trouble with the swaz being confinscated and all the BS the zoll is making with TR items!

I have tto have it sent to my parents house where if I sell it I will never get to enjoy it at all!!!

Has anyone had helms sent from USA toGermany????
