    SS decal and party shield

Here are close ups of the decals on the M-35 selling on ebay for $2000+. He said it was bought from Manion's 9 years ago and swears it is 100% original.

Regarding the party shield does an original exist with a large white circle? Such as the one appearing in Hicks Vol 2 pg 22?

I know of no example. I've never seen Hicks Vol. II other than flipping through it at shows. Can you post a pick or scan of it Ty?

Correct me if I am wrong, but the runes in this decal are all wrong (they are inconsistent with authentic 1st and 2nd style runes). In addition, they are inconsistent with the examples I have of the "fat runes". I am not even looking at the rest of the decal, since I think the runes are so far off.

Yes, Walter. I agree both are wrong.
This one sold for $2000 yesterday. Which in my opinion is far short what an original DD SS would go for.
After posting I remembered seeing a party shield similar in a reference book.

Here is a picture of the page in the book. Sorry for the bad quality. Don't have a scanner.
This is a M-16 transitional. Also have seen it pictured on the rare VT helmets. I suspect the one published is 100% correct and the above is an old copy of it. I would expect an orginal looking like this would never appear on a M35 or M40.
Anyone seen (first hand) an original like this?

Looks like it's on a "droop bill" example. I've never seen this decal style in person. I would be very wary untill I seen it.
