Hi,

What do you guys think of this SS decal on a M42 wintercamo helmet. (very scarry)

I allready have my opinions on it but want it to help others trying to judge....

It is not good in my opinion. Decal has the flat greyish look to it from a distance. Further, the helmet paint is quite obviously artificially "aged"...not natural at all. Too many long streaking hits.

No problem. That decal shot just confirms mine and I'm sure the other's opinions...it's a repro. I don't believe I have ever seen an SS winter camo that I thought was real.

I agree on the bad camo. And, I have only seen 1 SS winter camo that looked good. I think it will soon be featured in a book on SS helmets.

I'm going to continu posting ss helmet if you dont mind. So that everyone can learn and update the dangeours and the nice looks about ss helmets.

No problem Nick keep posting..
This one just doesn't have the construction quality's as a original. The dead/dull background is the immediate giveaway as Darryl mentioned. The camo is not very convencing either...
