Depends on what type of helmet you enjoy. Superior conditioned helmet, liner that is similar. Combat helmet, combat liner.

      Combat helmet with liner.

This is the kind of liner I like. These usually smell like a church or dusty attic

I own both, but prefer the combat worn by far. They talk; sometimes they just won't shut up.

            Time for my medication.

I like the combat worn, it just shows that someone wore it & just dident hang it on a hook, And I also like the named helmets as well.

helmets with no wear in mint condition, allways makes me think it belonged to a storeman giving out socks and underpants and never saw an angry man, and was never cold and wet. no soul to them,
And all ex service men know how much the rear echolon are despised,,think i will lie down now in a darkend room, i got it out my system for today ha ha

Yes definitely the proper description/definition for those liners that I like so much as well: helmets that had a life and that would have something to tell, whatever.

I definately prefer a nice Salty,"been there" combat liner in a combat shell. I also like the liner to be complete if possible (string, fingers intact). A name is a big time bonus But as Nopoop said, the liner needs to match the shell.

                        combat helmet

I love that "been there" look too. I have a M40 luft. overpaint that is really salty.

                          Hello,

Personally I like my helmet liners soaked in the blood of their previous unlucky owner + there name so that I can do some research.
These are the helmets that talk to me about the cruelty of war.

                          Cheers,
                          P
