M42 NS64 Heer No Decal

Guys:

Picked this up not long ago. Just thought it was cool and had character.

NS64 #6479 (hard to make numbers out completely). No drawstring, nice liner though. Chinstrap was on it when I bought the helmet. Left side has some scratches running in a vertical fashion. Under the right side pin there's a big chunk of paint.

Supposedly came out of a vet's wine cellar....who knows for sure.

It's not a "killer" but kinda neat.

I feel the same way. These ND lids have a ton of character about them. It is just too bad that so many of them are ruined by fakers who turn them into SS lids.
