Hi Relicthere is no wear at all except on the heavily worn air vents the writing is in the style of military bargains uk in light smallprint unworn overinformationalised carefully drawn with a small brush and a tin of poster paint . Check out the Normandy camo thread (using the search function). Post some extreme in focus shots of the top of the helmet where all the put down wear is and around the rivetts air vents etc .Cheers Rob
God please take justin bieber and gave us dio back

Thanks for getting back to me Robb, I have searched for the thread about Normandy Camo's but go pages of threads so just went through those! Well I'm not sure about the name, but from what I've seen it's not a lot different to other ones I've seen on here but then I don;t really know what I'm looking for.

There is wear to the top and generally around the whole of the helmet and the colours seem to be similar to other helmets I've seenon here.

I think I'll pass on it.

      Thanks for your comments

      Steve

          Hello Steve,

If you are youself not 100% sure that you can decide that an item is perfectly authentic, my advice is that you only buy things that w'll not give you sleepless nights.
Perhaps you must pay a bit more for such items, but they are worth it in the end. An item that is not authentice is always going to be a problem to sell on unless you don't care about your good name.
Don't forget finding something good for a bargain price happens very seldom.
Don't believe all the people on this forum that have found super items on lofts, fleamarkets, yardsales,...etc. This is like wining the lottery, it happens to people but never to me! You know what I mean?
This advice goes for any type of collectable.

So now get away from your computer and try to find some militaria collectors in your neighbourhood, visit them and their collection and learn as much as you possibly can from 100% pure pieces. Most collectors are willing enough to share their collection with fellow collectors, I'am any way.
So if you are in my neighbourhood just come in and we have a nice debate about it and you can view my collection also.

Also invest some money in books, it is never a bad idea to have some reference-books in hands reach.

          Cheers,
          Peter

Pics are not good enough to base a definitive opinion on it IMO. But I'm not very attracted to this one.
