Learning along with you here...here is a pic of a classic, original Q runes decal on an SS I once owned for comparison. I see some differences - decal looks a bit 'thick' (but may be my SS untrained eye) but I will leave constructive comment to the experts. Hope its a good one.

Kurt: is it possible that this helmet is Luft blue/gray in color?
The reason I ask is because I have an identically marked Q64 DN355 shell that is a ND Luft. Maybe its just the lighting, but your last photo of the DN355 stamp appears to be on a blue/gray painted shell.

It's a dark grey/green shade. I tried to take the photos in natural light, but it was late in the afternoon, so the colors aren't coming through well.

I'll go out on limb, I don't like it. Damage to two convient spots. And the offset in the shape of the first rune doesn't look correct from looking at a known original.

I will defer to the SS experts. If I'm wrong, it won't be the first time I've been incorrect.
