hi all.
looking help reference Reichsluftschutzbund helmets.
were they issued in a m18 police style shell?.
if so has anyone got pictures.

Due short of steel to produce new RLB Gladiator style helmets they started to issue all kind of reissued helmets to RLD stuff: M16, M18, Fire Brigade, Civil, private, parade, M35, M40 etc.etc. then of course you will find out an M18 RLB out there, but who knows where?

Yes, the RLB did make use of the M18-style civil helmet. As Drapeau Noir stated, also issued were many other helmet types, and very heavy usage was made of the various M1934 shell styles. I have several examples in the collection and have posted some of them here on the forum at various times. I'm presently unable to post images until I upgrade my membership (will do that shortly), try a search here and in the Civil forum and you probably will find some pix.
