I would consider it a woodchip rather than a zimmerit. As to its originality I would needs a hands on to erase doubt.

I always had doubts about actual zimmerit being used to camo helmets. I always thought zimmerit was applied to tanks etc at the factory. Was it available to troops in the field,I don't know.
