My first impression is not positive due to the rounded inside corners at the top of the decal and the rounded corners on the sides where the decal breaks to the bottom point. At least that's the way it looks on the angle that it's at.

Ok here's a better shot from the decal.
The liner is stamped with 56 and the back rim of the helmet is stamped 11432

There are several reasons as to why but let me give you one that is a very good indicator for someone starting to learn SS decals...
See the type of runes? Compare that to the border...you see it? Look at the border on this one...

I assume this helmet is held in reserve for you. The dealer in question does contribute to at least one forum on the net, it may be worth asking him to respond to this thread.

Without giving too many details, I think there is something else wrong with the size and spacing of the runes. I think I've seen this particular one before somewhere?
