The helmet is "real" in terms that it is a German World War II helmet, but I don't know about the decal or paint. The decal is hard to see and I would ask for a clearer image.
The paint seems a little too smooth and while I know there were plenty that were sprayed I would assume that would cover the decal and appear a bit on the inside rim. This helmet almost looks too neatly painted.
The DAK symbol also looks like a decal, and those just didn't exist to the best of my knowledge. Pure fantasy in my opinion. The swastika looks too neatly done to be painted, or if it was painted it was done by someone who knows what he was doing.
In my opinion this is a pure fantasy/comic book piece. Unless it was dirt cheap I'd look elsewhere. And if it is cheap you have to ask yourself why...anything this unique at a cheap price usually is a BIG red flag.

I have seen original helmt liners selling for +100 $ and naked helmet shells without decals and few original paint sell on German ebay for up to 70 Euro. Chinstraps have been sold on German ebay lately for around 20 Euro for reproductions and around 40 for maybe originals.
I think a WWII helmet collector might take it for 100 $ if it was a M35 with original aluminium liner, just to have spare parts or to sell it in parts. If the eagle is original and the yellow colour not, the yellow might be taken away and reveal a still collectible ordinary army helmet. If only the yellow and the palm-tree were postwar, 100 $ would seem to be a good price for something to play with. But I am not the expert to judge this from the pictures.
Johannes.
