ss M42 helmet

Hi,
heres one of my helmets had this a long time the decal is partly coverd by the remains of the thick dark paint not much left the linner is original to the helmet,what do you guys think.

the silver to the decal is very metalicy.

I have my doubts about that, comparing the heavy wear of the shell with the almost 'mint' liner

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news again merdock, but there is note doubt at all that the helmet is wrong.

Hi,
thanks all was not sure about the decal it looks like it could have been applied later ,but the linner sure looks original to this shell its not in any way mint,both this helmet and the other cost very little.
